And maybe you’re a virgin and maybe you’re not.

Maybe you’re better at keeping committed to such an endeavor and maybe you’re not.

I support one’s freedom to choose chastity <3 It can be really tough to do.

As a non-virgin (which is, by the way, a part of our patriarchal culture to not have a word for a non-virgin beside ‘slut’, ‘whore’, or ‘tramp’) I support your choice for chastity. But it is NOT something to be proud of, considering virginity is a mere social construct and has absolutely no sway in ANYTHING. The state of your virginity isn’t even measurable, as hymens come in all shapes and sizes, and not even gynecologists can determine its presence or lack thereof. Being proud of your virginity is akin to being proud of not having an ear piercing or something similar.

So before anyone says I have no respect for losing my virginity (a social construct) before getting married (another social construct), I’d like to give you a big middle finger. :)
